Patient Services

Providing good healthcare relies on having a number of specialist services. We will refer you to them as and when the need arises. Doing things this way means you ger better care from an expert and we can make more effective use of the resources that we have. We have listed some of the services we offer.

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring

Nurse-led service for 24-hour blood pressure monitoring by referral.

Anticoagulation Clinic

Nurse-led clinic held weekly for patients receiving Warfarin therapy.

Cervical Smears

For women between ages of 25 and 64, with a routine recall every three years. You can continue having cervical smears afer 65 if you wish but will not receive an automatic reminder. If you think you are not up to date, telephone to check your record.


Service from specialist nurse offering contraception and ‘morning after’ methods for emergencies.


Treatment of warts and verrucae.

Diabetic Clinic

We provide full diabetic care for most patientt with Type 2 diabetes and some with Type 1 including management with insulin.

Flu Vaccinations

An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients aged 65 and over and those with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes and residents of nursing homes and rest homes. Contact the reception staff in September for details of the vaccination dates and to make an appointment. Please let us know if you are housebound and a home visit will be arranged.

Health Promotion and Disease Prevention

New patient checks, blood pressure, urine, weight and lifetyle advice. We recommend that new patients attend for a check with our healthcare assistant when registering with the practice.

Immunisation and Travel Advice

For those patients planning to travel abroad. Appointments must be made two months before departure.

Maternity Care

A full service is available from a specialist team of doctors and midwives.

Minor Surgery Clinic

For the removal of minor skin lesions. Please make a routine appointment with a doctor to discuss suitability.

Pain Management Clinic

A specialist service for the management of chronic pain. GP referral required.

Phlebotomy Clinics

Every morning by appointment.

Community Phlebotomy Clinics

Run by specialist nurse for advice and management of asthmatic and COPD symptoms.


Well Baby Clinic

Immunisation, development checks, weighing and advice.

Yellow Fever Vaccinations

We are an authorised Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre.
